The noise standard for vessels built after July 2014 has been strengthened to MSC.337 (91).

The purpose of the amendment is to prevent the generation of potentially harmful noises on board and to provide the comfortable environment for the crew.

Since there have been growing demands for low-noise type Packaged A/Cs which are installed in areas directly related to crew activities, we have been studying Packaged A/Cs installed in Wheel house or ECR, etc.

In order to achieve low noise and low power performance, BLDC fan motor which can change RPM has been adopted and applied to Wheel house Package A/C first.

As a result of the test, it was confirmed that noise level has been improved by approx. 10 dB(A) than the standard product, and the ship noise requirement is also satisfied when the Packaged A/C is installed inside the Wheel house.
